The new rationale for the Fort Hood Shooter is that he was a loner. It isn't that Islam can be warped as an excuse to kill non-believers. Or that the military and FBI downplayed or ignored danger signals for the sake of being Politically Correct. Even "the Won," is still stuck in this mentality. Or perhaps he is covering his own ass for his incompetent handling before and after this tragedy happened. Now he must stand in Bush's big old boots, but can he fill them?
Well, I need some humor before more crap hits the fan this week. Klavan on the Culture is once again, the voice of rationale. And if that doesn't work, there is always Cartman.
