It has been a hell of a week for Dee Dee Scozzafava When I was younger and working with my husband on the Andre Marrou campaign with the Libertarians; Dean used to tell me that there was not a dime's worth between Democrats and Republicans. He meant that the Democrats wanted to control your money and the Republicans wanted to control your body.
I should not be surprised by the Republican Scozzafava throwing her support behind a Democrat. She has supported many Democratic causes, which Michelle Malkin has been tracking. I often thought they really were different. Glenn Beck interviewed Douglas Hoffman, the Conservative challenger to Democrat Bill Owens. Douglas Hoffman has been willing to sign the 9/12 candidate's pledge. It isn't the Contract with America, but it is something that stands for some kind of principle.
